CHELSEA BAUGHER, OWNER/HEAD TRAINER
Chelsea is the Founder/Owner of Detroit Sweat, and is a Bay City, Michigan native. She played D1 collegiate softball at Western Michigan University, while pursuing a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Chelsea has been helping hundreds of individuals become their best self by finding confidence through health and fitness since 2017. Her ultimate career vision grew into creating a private fitness studio where people can come together, belong, stay fit and healthy. Detroit Sweat is more than a gym—it’s a supportive environment where you’ll feel seen, encouraged, and challenged in the best way.
Chelsea is married to her husband, Tim, and welcomed their first daughter in January of 2024, with another one little girl on the way!
ANNA NEWBLATT, PERSONAL TRAINER & GROUP COACH
Anna is a passionate, Detroit-based personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Anna is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and the founder of AFC Strong LLC. With a combination of professional dance training, a degree in Kinesiology from Wayne State University, and diverse experiences in corporate and boutique fitness; Anna brings a wealth of knowledge and endless positive motivation to her clients. Determined to break the shallow expectations commonly found in the fitness industry, Anna is not only determined to push her clients to be their strongest selves physically, but to become the best version of themselves overall.
CARLY MCPHAIL, PERSONAL TRAINER & GROUP COACH
Carly is an NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and a Stott Pilates instructor; she also holds her B.S. in Exercise Science. With 14 years of experience in the fitness industry, she has help numerous of individuals achieve their goals, and find confidence. Being an athlete growing up lead to her passion for fitness, and wanting to help others become better.
When Carly isn’t coaching she enjoys being active, boating, and traveling with her girlfriends!
EMILY SUTTLES, PERSONAL TRAINER & GROUP COACH
Emily has worked in the fitness industry for over 10 years. She is a NASM certified personal trainer and holds a degree in business and marketing. Her training experience includes boot camps, small group training, various sports teams, and one on one personal training. Emily was a competitive figure skater for 16 years, and a healthy lifestyle has always been extremely important to her!
She is married to her husband, Aaron, and they have two beautiful boys!
MEGAN O’NEIL, GROUP COACH
Megan is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and a NASM Certified Nutrition Coach; she also holds a B.S. in Wellness and Health Promotion. She has worked with clients post orthopedic surgeries and physical therapy helping them get back to their daily activities and feel motivated to maintain an active, healthy lifestyle. Growing up playing multiple sports ignited the passion Megan has today for fitness and nutrition.
She and her husband, Tommy, (and Golden Retriever, Hank) have one daughter, and one son! They love spending time with family and friends, watching the Lions (win or lose), and going out for tacos and margs!
KRISTINA LARSON, GROUP COACH
Kristina has been a fitness professional for over 15 years, starting in the field right after completing her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from MSU. She has extensive experience leading large and small group training sessions, as well as providing personalized one-on-one coaching. Throughout her career, Kristina has worked with clients of all ages and experience levels, helping them build strength, confidence, and sustainable healthy habits. Outside the gym, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé and two dogs, being outdoors, staying active, and making memories with friends and family.
AMANDA ZAWISZA, GROUP COACH
Amanda is a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, holding both a BSED in Kinesiology with a focus on Exercise and Sports Science, as well as a BFA in Dance. She grew up dancing and went on to pursue a professional career, performing for both local and international companies, most recently – Disney Cruise Line and Tokyo Disney Resort. With her background in movement education ranging everywhere from group fitness training to assisting in physical therapy clinics to teaching dance and more; Amanda works to blend her diverse experiences together to bring knowledge to her clients, empower them to be the best they can be, and create the energy to encourage them to succeed beyond expectations.
When Amanda isn’t coaching she enjoys staying active, diving into a good book, traveling, and most importantly, spending quality time with friends and family!
